Christmas card with Prismacolors .. and DOVES!!

I have more new in stock news for you.  When I posted this card last week I was inundated with emails on where I got the little wooden dove from.  Well, I found it in my stash (had it lying around for ages) so I asked Paul at Wild Orchid Crafts if he could source some for you and woohoo, they are now in stock along with some other must have wooden embellies.  Not sure how long they will stay in stock though so for those of you that really wanted them, don’t hang about lol.

Now on to my card for today, one thing I enjoy about having magazine commissions to do is the challenge from working well out of my comfort zone and this is one of those cards.  I do love my “cute” images so had to stretch myself when I was given “that” 18 card commission to do earlier in the summer as I had to work with specific stamps and this Woodware set was one I would not have gone out and bought.  That said, I loved this card once it was done (in fact I think it was one of my favourites of the set I did) and I have used this set several times since then.

So quick and easy too - a bit of Kraft card, some gingham ribbon, machine stitching and pearls with colouring only using Prismacolor pencils and job done.  I was really pleased with how cutting along the stamped holly leaves border and matting this onto the chocolate brown card seemed to make the whole thing pop.
