Whoopie Doo, it’s Friday and tonight I go to order the last of the cupboards for my new craft room. The floor is down, the blinds are up and I love it, OMG I have the best hubster lol. I’ve popped a couple of pics at the end of the post, they don’t show the room off very well but I was more concerned about showing off me new floor lol. Small things hey …..
So today is Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge day and our Jane is the hostess with a brilliant sketch that I will use again and again, and I even managed to get a card done (didn’t think I would this week has been so manic with working on upcoming releases and magazine stuff) so it was nice to take a few hours out on Wednesday to get this done. The stamp is an oldie, from 2009 but still one of my favourites although I do think this year’s Christmas stamps from Magnolia is another fab one from the sneak peeks I have seen in blogland so far. Hmmm I feel a wee spend coming on even though their stamps are so expensive. Oh well it needs to be done lol.
I’ve used lots of my fave goodies on today’s card, isn't that sentiment stamp fab, it’s another I got from Crafty Sentiments and the set is called Christmas Sparkles, love it! The paper is from the Authentique Wonder paper pad, totally delish! And of course the sweetheart blossoms, cherry blossoms. carnations, 20mm rose, trellis rose, seam binding, guipure lace and pearls are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. The die cut leaves are from Marianne Design, I love this die (as if you hadn’t noticed!) Loads of gold Stickles were added to the flowers, her dress and the circle she is sat on.
Tilda was coloured with Copics and pencils:
Skin: E11, E00, E000, R20
Hair: E29, E25, E50
Dress: E43, E42, E41, E40 and warm grey 70% pencil
Reds: R29, R24, R22 and Tuscan red pencil
Greens: YG99, YG93, E81 and olive green pencil
This card is for sale in my Etsy shop
And here’s a wee couple of sneak peeks of my craft room. It don’t look very big in the pics but is around 20 foot long so a decent size and lots of room for me to hide all my stash in once it’s complete. The curtains will be going up later today and the skirting and cupboards/furniture on the weekend …. it’s beginning to look like home :D I look at these and can’t believe just how hard my hubby has worked to get it from a bare brick garage and tiled utility to this. The blinds are hiding the french doors that replaced the garage door. The walls are olive green and do not look as yellow and dull as they do in these pictures.
Have a great weekend
