Sugar Nellie

I have been so busy with Xmas release DT work this weekend that I am all Christmased out lol.  So I took a wee break yesterday afternoon to have a little bit of me time and inked up one of my very first Sugar Nellie images that I bought.  I do love the Elisabeth Bell’s original art that was made into stamps and I know I will go back to them time and time again.  Belles ‘n Whistles have released a lot of the older EB stamps – you will find them here, the stamp I have used today is A Blossom for You

I also dug out my favourite papers ( Pion Design from Dies to Die For) and actually managed to bring myself to cut into them – how brave was I!  I read on Linda Coughlin’s blog yesterday that she heat embossed her metal embellishments and I LOVED the effect so gave it a try – no more faffing on with paint for me no more – this is totally brilliant!  It gives perfect coverage on the first application!  Linda you are waaaay too clever girl!  And isn’t that brad just too delish for words, they should be on the Wild Orchid Crafts website soon.

The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley clear Additions set, such fabulous verses.

The image was coloured with copics and pencils, I’ve lost the bit of paper that I wrote the numbers down on (well I think I put it somehwere safe!!) so will update this post as soon as I tidy my desk and hopefully find it!

The flowers, embellies, rhinestone swirls and seam binding are all from WOC.  Flowers used are 30mm wild rose, carnations, 15mm roses, 20mm roses.
