Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge

Friday already and my last day of holiday – back to work on Monday, oh how I wish I could win that lottery (don’t we all!).  So it’s Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar challenge and this week our Dawny P is hosting the challenge so chose Buttons Bows and Blooms as the theme.  Nice and easy and right up my street.  We have two prizes this week too, The Ribbon Girl and The Cutting Cafe' are sponsoring so double the chance of winning.

My new order arrived this week from Dies to Die For and in there was this scrummy Basic Grey Sweet Threads pad.  It’s gorgeous and of course I had to break in to it right away lol.  I also used a Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily die – one of my all time faves.  No matter what I throw at it I get a perfect cut every time, the white card I used is really thick and it cut through it no problem at all.

All my embellies (bar the pearl button) are from Wild Orchid Crafts: 25mm rose, 15mm roses, sweetheart blossoms, hydrangeas, silk ribbon, corner metal embellishments and the dinky little pearls on her shoes and handbag.

The craft room floor is going down today (if my Tony can manage it – poor soul put his back out yesterday and was in agony all of yesterday afternoon and evening.)  My son-in-law is coming up to help him today, hopefully they will get it finished in a day.  I tell ya I am so sick of eating, breathing and coughing dust I wish I had never asked for it to be done lol.  The novelty is wearing off and I want my neat and tidy house back!!!!

Have a great weekend, I’ll be back later this evening to draw a winner for the Go Kreate candy

  2. This is just so gorgeous Bev. My H&S stamp has not seen ink yet (oh the shame), maybe I should break it out for this challenge! Your alterations all sound very exciting but I'm with you in that the mess really makes you wonder why you started! Hugs Sxx

  14. Hi Bev,
Another beautiful card. Hang on in there - your craft room will be well worth all the dust and noise when you get it finished - had a similar experience a few years ago - we even had to do without a kitchen for almost a month - but its a bit like having a baby - when you get there all the pain is forgotten!

  36. Lovely card x

I have tried to purchase that die BUT it's still SOLD OUT !!!!

It seems logical to have a die like this. I do have doily's purchased from different places, but at least you can use what ever papers take your fancy. Shall just have to keep checking x

  37. Hi Bev,

Beautiful sample card - I love the soft colors!

I tried to email you from my nallagray gmail account to claim the Just Magnolia prize that I won for week 116, but I didn't hear back from you, so I'm not sure if that account is working correctly, or if you just didn't get to reply yet?

Could you try my other email address listed below? I left my blog address too so you can verify that it's the right person claiming the prize.

    Thanks! :)
