Creating clouds with inks

At long last I have managed to get the video done on how I create clouds and sky with inks.

I had a bit of a nightmare as the SD card I used is a new one and it’s corrupted so as soon as I have uploaded this I am off back to PC World – me no happy.  So this is the 3rd take (which is why the image is not coloured.)

The image is from the new Lili of the Valley release (that go on sale on the 14th) and is called Daisy Chain.

The ink duster is from Inkylicious

Great tutorial, Bev! I've created clouds with a mask before and a sponge dauber. I like the look of the brush. I have a similar brush so I will have to try that. I really like the mask you created with the different shapes for the clouds, too. My daughter watched your video with me. Our neighbor is from England so she loved listening to your voice and said you sound like our neighbor. :) Hope you're having a great day!

Hi Bev, Thanks for this great video! I really want to use Distress Inks for background but I have real problems with using the blending sponge tool. I get really big splodges that are too dark and can't blend them. So I found it really interesting and was really impressed with the results with the Ink Duster Brush. I shall certainly have another go and see if I can finally master it !!! Thanks for sharing your tips and taking time out to do this - much appreciated!

Thanks for this Bev - brilliantly done & so useful about the differences with using a paintbrush & the duster. I too find the blending tools hard going & the dusters have been on my wish list for some time, but always seem to drop down the priorities....... better do something about that.
Take care

Thank you soooooo much for the
tutorial. I will make a mask and
give this a try!! I agree with
you that if you use distress ink
it is impossible to apply without
it being to heavy and uneven (for
me).

GREAT TECHNIQUE. LOVE IT. I've been using a torn piece of paper towel and that works pretty well, but love this way. And thanks for the cloud pattern. You make the most wonderful cards. Don't ever stop. Edna
