Elaine from Quixotic Paperie sent me this sweet SCACD Winter Window stamp to play with, thanks honey. I am still in the Basic Grey Jovial Paper mood (oh I am just loving this pad!!) so went with another dark card.
I did a bit of stitching around the edges of the paper. The newsprint paper behind the image is a stamp!! It’s one of the new Whimsy stamps – Newsprint Definitions, and I stamped it on the inside of an airmail carton that I saved for a rainy day lol. I knew that Kraft card would come in handy one day and it cost nothing too.
I made the button by punching two little holes next to each other from a piece of waste from the Newsprint Definitions stamped image, then punched a circle and coated with a couple of layers of clear embossing powder.
For the snow on the top of the window I applied some white Flower Soft and Glamour Dust, and just applied Glamour Dust to the icicles. The centres of the flowers and the snowflakes on the shutters also got the old Glamour Dust treatment.
The flower I picked up at Hobbycraft – it was in their Xmas decorations section, there is 6 poinsettias in a bunch for £1.99. They are made from a velvet type of fabric with glitter added, very yummy. I just popped a pearl brad in the centre of the flower. The little gold berries were also from Hobbycraft.
