Just Magnolia Special Monthly Challenge

It’s the first Friday of the month, so it’s Special Monthly Challenge time sponsored as always by Simon Says Stamp.  And they are sponsoring the prize with a fabulous $30 voucher to spend in their store (and they pay the shipping!)

sss-special-monthly-challen

Our challenge this month is ACETATE – you need to incorporate it into your project in any way you like, so it could be an acetate card like some of our more adventurous DT members have done, it could be an acetate pocket, a shaker card, an altered acetate container or even simply used as an embellishment (like I did lol).

The first three attempts at an acetate card went in the bin so I went back to my trust easel card and opted for the easy way out – Acetate Snowflakes (can’t get much easier than that lol.

bev

The snowflakes were cut with Spellbinders and Cuttlebug dies then coated with Twinklets.  I also cut some snowflakes out of pearlescent parchment paper then went around the edges with a silver Krylon pen and popped a rose in the centre.

The paper is gorgeous!  It’s all glittered and sparkly.  It’s called Best Creations Inc and I got it from Oyster Stamps just this week.  There is a range of pastel colours and oh my I am in love!!

I dotted Stardust Stickles and Liquid Pearls around Tilda for a bit of texture.  I have coloured Tilda with Copics:
Skin: E21, E01, E00, E000, R20
Hair: E55, E53, E51, E50
Dress: B00, B000, B0000
Shadow and wings: C3, C1, C0

The sentiment is Magnolia (from last Christmas kit I think).  The Guipure lace and 15mm roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The pearls are also from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I found another Joy charm in my stash and a sweet follower has managed to get me another 6, thanks sweetie xxx

Nearly done, bet you’re sick of pictures now, but I really find easel cards so hard to photograph.  Last close up of the snowflakes smothered in Twinklets (Love this stuff lol)

That’s all from me today, I am looking forward to a nice lazy weekend (okay after the housework is done tomorrow), hope you all have a good one.

Thanks for stopping by,

But this is a good idea, you card is very beautiful!! Love the 'icy' (in a good way!!) feeling about it!!
