Plagiarism

I hate having to do this but I am so angry I have steam coming out of my ears!!! It has come to my attention that a certain company has taken photographs of my work and has made direct copies of it to promote their products. If anyone sees these "copies" could you please let me know. My work is copyrighted and as such they have infringed my copyright.

Whilst I am happy for anyone to use my work for inspiration I draw the line at someone stealing my work and making money off it and cheek of all cheeks ... not even crediting me. It is not often I am beyond speech but believe me I am so angry I cannot even engage my tongue!! I cannot believe that anyone can be so desperate they have to steal my work and pass it off as their own.

Ms Plagiariser you know who you are (and so do I) and you should damn well be very ashamed. How dare you! This is not the end of it, believe me.

Thanks for stopping by,

  7. Some people obviously have no conscience about stealing others work, it's disgraceful. I'm glad you know who it is, and have the matter in hand.

It's not hard to admit you've got inspiration from someone elses work, ok we all forget to give credit sometimes, but using someone elses work for profit, there is no excuse.

So sorry this happened to you

  8. Oh Bev, I am so sorry for you. As Sharron said I too use your photos as inspiration because I think your talent is absolutely awesome but to copy and use them for business "design" purposes is despicable. It is so shameful.

If you know who it is you can get a cease and desist order from a solicitor, wont cost too much maybe 60 quid depending on the solicitor but you wont get that money back, unless they don't follow the order then you can sue them to high heaven. But don't put a link up on-line to the wrong doer as they could do you for harassment from your followers making comments to them.

  102. Hi Bev
I know how you feel as something very similar happended to me, It was a long long time ago, and unfortuntaly (at that time) I was not aware that I needed to copyright my work.
Several of my cards had been in a few magazines, imagine the shock that I got when I attended a craft fair only to see my cards on display (exact copies) with the stall holder taking credit for them as being her work. I tried to explain to her that it had taken me a long time to come up with the designs etc, but her answer to me was, if you don't want people to copy your work don't put it in magazines. The only good thing with yours (if there is anything good about it) is that as it is copyright you can do something about it, and I hope you do, these horrible people that steal others work should be made to pay.
    good luck

  125. So happy you know who they are, Bev! You get them good, girl! There's two things in life I can't stand, a liar and a thief. Sounds like you've got both on your hands. Karma is a hell of a thing. She'll get what's coming to her!! So sorry you're having to deal with this.
    big hugs!
    Sharon
