Create4Fun challenge

Before I forget again, I am off to Stevenage tomorrow morning early doors for the STamperama show. I will be at The Hobby House stall all day so if you're going please pop across and say hello.

This weeks Create4Fun challenge is to make a heart bag. Domi has done a brilliant template for us to use (the template is free on the Create4Fun challenge blog) and I decided to continue with the POM theme that I did the other week (plus I still had some of that delish cream paper lying on my desk .... yes still *blush*).heart-bag-1
So, I did a bit of heat embossing again with gold detail embossing powder then had a not so great idea!!! I wanted pearl beads around the heart but they wouldn't lie straight so then I had to pull them off, glue a row of very fine gold cord, then glue a row of pearl beads then finished it off with another row of that very fine gold cord. Took me flipping ages!!! WHY do I do these things to myself!!! I finished the bag off with some gathered lace to trim around the top, some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and Hobbycraft. This will DEFINITELY be a one off *rolls eyes*. Here’s a close up of “that” pearl border.

  2. It may have taken you ages, but that pearl border is fabulous. You could make a fortune if you could manufacture something like that in one piece so you just had one strip to stick. It's a lovely bag too and that backing paper is to die for.
