I hope you're all having a wonderful Easter, my long weekend has been taken up with trying to get some cards made, only the temptation of the computer is proving hard to resist lol. I've done two cards for today so the resistance seems to be working. The first card is for A Spoonful of Sugar where you have to make a card with a persons age on it. So, I had a play with the new Whiff of Joy Medieval images and came up with this. Poor Charlotte has been well mutilated bless her, I wanted to have her sat on the horse (isn't this horse just fab!!) so had to amputate her leg! I think it's worked out quite well, seeing has she was designed to stand and not ride a horse!!
I went for my fave K&Co papers, but couldn't find something that would work with the trefoil paper and the zig zag scalloping so stamped the stripes on to the linen effect K&Co paper with a Stampin Up stripes backgrounder stamp
Kept the inside pretty plain, more or less carried the layout on the front through to the inside
Stamps: Whiff of Joy Charlotte's Horse, Rogue Charlotte, Stampin Up Circle of Friends sentiment, Stampin Up stripes backgrounder stamp
Tools: Martha Stewart Zig-Zag punch, 1" circle punch, Circle nestibilities, Quickutz Alphabet
Embellies: Buttons and twine from stash
My card for Cute Card Thursday was originally intended for a different challenge as the colours fit the challenge perfectly I'm entering it there. A quick and simple card really with my favourite no fail layout that works every time for me when I am in a hurry. The flowers are punched with Retro Flower punches - no Prima flowers used on either of today's card gasp!!
More punching on the inside - I just can't leave my MSBP's alone lol
Stamp: Magnolia from Spring 2009 Kit
Papers: Heidi Grace Cherrywood Ln.
Tools: Martha Stewart Valentines Lace punch, Large & Medium Retro Flower Punches, Labels 4 Nestibilities
Embellies: Dragonfly charm, spacers
Thanks for looking,
