Apologies for the long post here, got lots to say (as per usual lol). Okay so my announcement first! I don't know how I have kept this quiet all week but I did and need a medal lol. There is a new challenge blog starting next Friday (17th April) ... called Just Magnolia and it's exactly that, a challenge blog just for Magnolia stamps. There is such an amazing DT (and a big team too!!) and I am so looking forward to working with them all.
The first challenge is a sketch, and will be posted up on the blog next Friday morning bright and early so I hope that all you fellow Magnolia fans will join us. We are hoping to be able to offer prizes most (if not all) weeks, the first prize will be a biggie - natch lol.
Right, now that I've got that off me chest, here's a couple of cards. The first one is for Papertake Weekly and ABC challenges. I've followed Dawny's brilliant sketch and as I always decorate the insides of my cards thought this would qualify for this weeks ABC challenge.
I'm afraid I have used more of the delish Kaiser papers from The Hobby House (hurry and get them on the website Jill), I am really loving working with these papers!! The image is one from a QVC foam stamp set that has been lying in the drawer for months, still in the box unopened (I'm hopeless!!) but it so works for this sketch, a nice big image to fill the front of the card.
The inside, well nowt much to say about it, I've used those fab butterflies from the Magnolia Spring Kit again and a few more flowers (me being the more is more kinda girl)
Stamps: Precious Moments foam stamp from QVC, sentiment is Papermania and inside sentiment is Elzybells
Paper: Kaiser Tudor Piccadilly from The Hobby House
Tools: Sewing Machine and medium Retro Flower Punch and Stampin Up Word Window Punch
Embellies: Flowers are Prima and some I punched, Daisy Spacers and Papermania brads
The second card is for Caardvarks Challenge (first time I have entered this) - the challenge is a fantasy challenge this week so I have used the new Medieval range from Whiff of Joy which has just been released. I have not posted a pic of the inside of the card, no matter how I try - it looks wonky and was doing me head in so I gave up!! I used Glimmer Mists on the Prima flowers and they are so sparkly but it’s not showing up in the picture. I used some gold Mini Metallics on the roses for a bit contrast.
Stamps: Whiff of Joy Charlottes Throne, Queen Charlotte, and Banqueting Hall
Papers are K & Co.
Tools: EK Success Flourish punch, Punch Bunch fern leaf punch
Embellishments: Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, Prima Flowers, Pearls
Sentiment is computer generated.
Thanks for looking,
