This card has taken me ages to make, yet it's such a fab sketch by the fabulously talented Dawny for Papertake Weekly. This is the first time this cute little stamp has seen ink - can you believe it!! Jill from The Hobby House sent me these fab screw head brads which I have been itching to use and I think they work brill with the card, not too masculine with the flowers (I hope!!). The papers are out of my scraps drawer - I wish I knew who the maker was, can't remember where or when I got them (I'm hopeless)
Another view of the card, I've not got one of the inside - the light was so bad that I could not get a decent pic even with the light tent.
I also mentioned yesterday that it was a horrible day, today is not much better. Yesterday I took Basil (my old boy) to the vet as he had not been well for a few weeks. When I took him to the vet 2 weeks ago he diagnosed a bad back but no way was my old man so poorly from a bad back. Anyway to cut a long story short he was diagnosed with the untreatable strain of Cushings Disease and I had to make the heartbreaking decision to have him put to sleep. My heart says he wasn't ready but my head would not let him suffer any longer. He was my first cavalier and the beginning of my love affair with the breed. Sleep tight my little man, mammy misses you so much xxxxx. This year sucks and I wish it was over!!
