Oh my goodness, my new rubbah all the way from Switzerland landed on my doormat this morning so as soon as I got in from work I walked and fed the dogs then sat down and mounted these new babies. I couldn't wait to ink one of them up so have really done a very quick card, I really must have got carried away as this is the first time in ages I have posted two cards on one day lol.
This is the new Whiff of Joy release by Alison Acton that is due out on the 14th February. Please keep an eye on the DT blogs as well as Katharina's blog for more sneak peeks of these little cuties. How fab are they not only for valentines/romance cards ... I'm thinking "My knight in shining armour" cards IYKWIM?? (how’s that for a clue hey lol). Also how cute these little sweeties are for all the little princesses out there!! They are so easy to colour too, I know I am going to love working with these stamps. And the matching sentiment stamps are just perfect, love them!!
I've done this card for this weeks Papertake Weekly challenge which is another FAB sketch by DawnyP, how clever is this girlie!!!! I have decorated the inside but couldn't get a decent pic despite having the light box - too much white I think :(
Whiff of Joy image coloured with distress inks and H2O's, the sentiment is also by Whiff of Joy
Papers are Basic Grey Sugared (the one layer I have embossed by inking up the embossing folder then running through the Cuttlebug to give a bit more texture and dimension)
The sentiment is punched out with a Stampin Up label punch
The flower - all made by me. I punched out the larger layer with an EK Success Retro flower punch and then layered one of my crochet roses on top (not used one of these for ages and ages!!)
The ribbon is what one of my Christmas presents was trimmed with - wish I could get me mitts on some more :(.
Thanks for looking,
