A card from me at last

Sorry I've been awol, not felt much like making cards this week and my mojo has gone walkabout big time!! It's taken me a couple of days to come up with this one and the more I fiddle and try to improve it the worse it's getting so I'm going to leave well alone now and hope I find that missing mojo soon!!

The card is for Cute Card Thursday challenge which is Snow & Snowflakes. I think this Whiff of Joy Herb in love image is just so cute and wanted to use the snowflake that I have crocheted.

I have tried several patterns and not been happy with any of them so combined a few patterns to come up with this one which is small enough to use on cards (now I've got to try and work out how I did it to write instructions for those that want them, so bear with me till I get them done.)

I coloured Herb in love with distress inks and H2O's, with Sakura Stardust pens on the swirls on the couple. The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy Winter Love set which I stamped, cut into a rectangle and punched two little half circles in the centre of each short side to look like a ticket. I love the Autumn Leaves Ticketed but cannot justify the price so keep on window shopping lol.
Papers are Daisy D's Snowflakes Paisley,
Crochet snowflake is one I made earlier lol
Snowflakes are punched with Martha Stewart and Carl punches
Charms and brads from stash.

I received this award from the lovely Rach, Sandra, Scotspanda Camilla and Michele - thanks so much sweeties, I appreciate the honour!!

This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY- nearness in space, time and relationships. These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement . Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to 8 bloggers who may then pass it on. I've seen this award do the rounds yesterday, so if you've already received this then your extra special :).

So, now I'm passing it on to Terrie, Kim, Natalie, Nikki, Chris, Kim, Catherine Suze and Kathy - these ladies are amazing crafters and inspire me no end.

I have also received this award from Desire from Doing Life and am so honoured and touched to have been included in her line-up of amazing crafters!

Here are the RULES for presenting this, hopefully soon sought after award:
    • Pick 5 bloggers that you consider as your best blogging buddies and deserves this award for their contribution towards the blogging community, no matter what language.
    • State the name of the author of each blog as well as a link to each one's blogs.
    • Each blogger (upon acceptance) of this award should do a post and show the award on their blog and put the name and link to the blog that has given her/him the award.
    • Link to DOING LIFE's blog, so everyone will know the origin of this award.
    • Show these rules.
So, with great difficulty I have narrowed this down to:

Rach, Katharina, Camilla, Jacqui and Marlene

Thanks for looking,

  1. Well I think everything about this is gorgeous, including that fantastic snowflake. I wish I could crochet, my grandma used to be into crocheting big time, now I wish I had paid attention!! I understand about not wanting to stamp ~~ I haven't done so in a week & unfortunately am not missing it. I HOPE it's just because I've been busy & that my desire & mojo will come back shortly!

  35. Thanks so much for the lovely award Bev and for thinking of me to pass it on to, you made my day! Your card is fantastic and the crocheted snowflake is stunning, I might even have to get my crochet hooks out LOL! Love how you made your own ticket, know what you mean about the price of the AL ones and I've tried using a circle punch on edges but mine won't punch unless it's fully on the card, so annoying! Hope your mojo returns soon, think we all get like this at times, I can't seem to get going with anything this weekend either. Take care hunny. Chris xxx
